Kinship is a play-by-post roleplaying game focused on canine-humanoid shapeshifters. It was established on [date]
; it was originally thought up in August of 2017 but all ideas were finally put to paper and solidified into something more "real" starting in late 2018. It is the "spiritual successor" to Revelations, another pbp game owned by Fennic (now Signe) and Rocket 2015 - 2017, and was heavily inspired by Shaman
, an amazing pbp game still running strong after ten amazing years! This site was built for players who may be busy in real life and/or already have a "primary" RPG; we focused on a design that will (hopefully!) allow players to grow fun, "deep" characters through IC interaction and growth in the form of player-to-player interaction and solo "encounters" like quests. We've worked to come up with a rich and interactive world which will grow along with its characters and players! Players will have an abundance of opportunities to leave their mark here, and unlock new and exciting adventures while they're at it. Interested in learning more? Read over our Guidelines and basic joining information in the "Get Started" section, or learn everything there is to know about the world by perusing other sections in the Lexicon!

disclaimer created with help from TheBookDesigner.com
We have fully embraced the idea that this is a fantasy world separate from Earth, and allow players to live out - to some extent - desires that would not otherwise be possible; one of the features that this is most evident in (besides the magical aspects) is that characters can own or bond with exotic animals such as lions, tigers, bears, and much more. While this is a fun and exciting portion of our game, we would like to remind our players that it is only in settings such as these that wild animals and humans can live in harmony under the same roof. We firmly believe that wild animals belong in the wild, and are supporters of the No More Wild Pets
movement, which you can learn more about here
. We do not condone, or encourage, anyone owning a wild animal as a "pet" in any form or fashion.
